AIDS Walk

It's the last minute crunch over at AIDS Walk headquarters... we're looking forward to walking with YOU this Saturday at Delaware Park. And don't forget, the schedule is different this year. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the Walk steps off at 10:00 a.m. We'll see you Saturday!

Have you registered to walk in the AIDS Walk yet? There's still time! Register as a single walker or get your family, friends and co-workers to walk as a team. You'll be eligible for some fantastic prize packages, and you'll enjoy a stroll through some of Buffalo's most beautiful neighborhoods. Best of all, you'll be helping improve the lives of thousands of Western New Yorkers affected by HIV and AIDS. How cool is that?

NOTE: this year's Walk schedule is 1 hour earlier than in past years, with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the Walk stepping off at 10:00 a.m.

The Nutrition Services Department will be presenting a workshop designed to help clients use foods from the food pantry on Thursday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wellness Center (206 South Elmwood Avenue, 1st floor). Sample tasty, easy to prepare recipes. The workshop is free, but you must RSVP to Alain at 847-2441 to reserve your space.

Also, a reminder that the Food Express truck will be at the Evergreen Center (206 South Elmwood) on Thursday, April 22 starting at 10:15 a.m. Anyone can access this service. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, and please bring bags or boxes to carry food away.
